THE COLLECTION
Subjects covered by the library's collection include architectural design, theory, history, and criticism, historic preservation, building technology, industrial design, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban design. The collection includes reference resources, 5th year and Master's theses, a small product catalogues section, and selected plans of local buildings. Access of journal articles is provided online through the Avery Index to Architecture Periodicals.

RARE BOOKS
A separate, environmentally controlled Rare Book Room houses one of Canada's most outstanding collections of rare books on architecture and design. Landmark titles in the history and theory of architecture, exemplary treatises from the sixteenth to the twentieth century supportive of the School of Architecture's cultural history emphasis, and texts outlining architectural developments in Northern Europe and on the North American frontier, which have a profound effect on architectural theory and urban development in Canada, form the core of the collection. All rare book materials are listed in TRELLIS, the library catalogue, and are available for viewing upon request.

TRIUNIVERSITY GROUP
In 1995, the libraries of the Universities of Guelph and Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University formed a partnership enhance services and resources. Faculty and students have borrowing privileges at all three university libraries and have access to research databases, digital mapping, and electronic texts on a wide variety of subjects.
