The links below will take you to the powerpoint presentations that I use in all of my undergrad courses in environmental building design. Some are fairly image intensive, some are more text based, but they should give you a good overview of the environmental requirements for buildings that have come to form the basis for buildings that aim to achieve validation via the LEED system, which is the system used to evaluate buildings in the US and soon to be adopted in Canada.
